Glass Quartz Printer Plates

The quartz plates in your ink jet UV printing system need to be replaced regularly to maintain peak performance. Devitrification, caused by prolonged exposure to strong UV energy, causes quartz to become brittle and cloudy over time, reducing UV transmittance. A good rule of thumb is the “3 to 1” rule: every third time you change out your UV bulbs, you should replace your quartz printer plates.
