How Long Does Plasma Surface Treatment Last?

Plasma surface treatment's lifespan depends on the type of treatment and material. Cleaned surfaces stay clean indefinitely if kept contaminant-free, but plasma activation is different as it depends on the material's density. Denser polymers hold their activation longer since sub-surface molecules have less room to migrate back up; less dense polymers recover faster. Recovery time ranges from hours to days, but as a rule of thumb, activation is no longer effective after about 48 hours.
